loveahiru i’m from shreveport louisiana and i’ve been to new orleans. the music in the movie wasn’t made by disney. yes they wrote the songs but this type of music has been around for yrs. this song already exisited well before the movie they just jazzed it up a little more ^_^ i love the part of the movie when Ray (the firefly)saids “ya’ll must be new around here” Naveen: “well we are from far far away from here my friend” Ray: “don’t chu play, ya’ll from shreveport!” lolz i loved that XD

I’ve you really like this movie than PAY FOR IT.

  11. LoveAhiru says:

this is such a big better step form Disney usually pop music that have been around for awhile. I loved the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast but with the latest movies their haven’t been a movie with this kind of musical impact.

I cried tears of absolute joy, this movie was so amazing.

  14. Mokenda says:

Watchoo talking about not memorable? I’ve already got 1/2 the songs stuck in my head 8D

  15. MollyAnnMissie says:

The music ISN’T memorable??? This is fantastic music. The movie songs are well-written, well-sung, and are so ^%$# hummable, it isn’t funny. Disney just needs to drop their self-imposed rule of requisite pop song attatched to film, or ammend it to fit the 90s pattern of having it WELL-DONE.

  16. MissGoldeelocks says:

Definantly. I understand that Lion King and Alladin music is yeah memoriable but i find it hard to believe i wouldve thought that when those movies first came out, you know? like when i was in the theaters when lion king was in, i dont know if i thought id remember “hakuna Matata” some 13 years later. but we all do once we here those two words!

Continued…get it right away. However, if you play for me some of those scenes I will instantly know what your talking about. The scenes themselves were what really made those songs.

Okay well to be fair I’ll give you that that Firefly’s “Going down the Bayou” song has a pretty memorable melody, as does the witch doctor’s song.

Actually on the contrary I’m a HUGE classical music fan, and I do like swing music! And I thought that if you are going to place a musical in New Orleans, adding Bourbon Street jazz into the music is a necessity. Again do I hate this music? NO! In fact it put in a good mood when I saw it in the theaters. I’m just saying that for example if you were to play Circle of Life for me in twenty years, I’ll know EXACTLY what it is. Where as with this movie if you did the same I’m not 100% sure if…

  19. MissGoldeelocks says:

wow i completely have to disagree with you on the statement thast the songs are not very memorable. I suppose if you aren’t a fan of classical and swing jazz it wouldnt stick out, but for me it was some of the best songs in a disney film. Not only was it filled with soul, like the characters, but it also reminded people where jazz originated, NEW ORLEANS! I thought the musical style they decided on fit perfectly with everything Especially where the movie took place … NEW ORLEANS!

    ALL SPAM WILL BE DELETED!!!
People, please go to a theater and actually ‘PAY’ to see this movie. If this movie gains enough profit, Disney will have no choice but to start making more traditional 2D animated canons.
Thus, The Disney Renaissance 2 have a better chance of becoming reality.

  21. wikiwikiju says:

I don’t know how much staying power this movie had. (Only time will tell that) The songs are also not very memorable but I can safely say this.

VERY few movies this year made me feel as good as this movie did. And the music was a big part of that. I felt pretty good when the movie was over and I left the theater with a smile on my face and an occasional dance step or two. And that’s something special that only comes once in a blue moon!

  22. PaperRayman says:

Good old Disney Magic, where no canned laughter is found.

  23. theory24 says:

    already are! lol!

    This is REAL Disney!
    Loved it so much!
